As many other companies. Motorolla and Huawei is settling their dispuits. There are few problems with Motorolla as its Xoom’s user guide leaked by last february and since then Motorolla is looking its internal issues and trying to solve it fully.
There is a long standing litigation between the two companies Motorolla and Huawei regarding various issues. But yesterday in a joint stament, both issued a joint statement that they are going to withdraw all the claimes made on each other. Actually the problem is, Motorolla felt that Huawei is using Motorolla’s trade secrets illegally and Huawei responded to that by a suit claiming that Motorolla is transferring Huawei’s intellectual property to Nokia Siemens Networks illegally.
But now what happened is, Motorolla has agreed to withdraw all of its claims releated to Huawei and Huawei in return will withdraw all of the cases against Motorolla and NSN. Huawei also accepted the transfer of its intellectual property to NSN by Motorolla for an sum which is undisclosed. Motorolla’s CEO Greg Brown said in a statement that “We regret that these disputes have occurred between our two companies”. He also said that there is a long standing relationship between Motorolla and Huawei and they wish to continue the same in future also.
